Stepping Stones – Broadstone Dementia Project

Our next drop in session for Carers and people with memory loss is Friday, 14th August, 2.30pm to 4pm in the coffee lounge at Broadstone Methodist Church. We welcome people who want to come regularly for a cup of tea and chat and also anybody just seeking information on a one off basis. This drop in event takes place once a month, on the 2nd Friday in every month.

In September we are launching a book group in Broadstone Library on Monday,16th September at 11am. This will be a weekly event with strong support from a qualified librarian who has been trained to lead such a group.

We desperately need more volunteers for both of these events. Training can be provided. Please contact Annette Brooke on 01202 696523 or by e mail annettebrooke4@gmail.com if you feel that you could help in any way.

We have now set up a Steering Group to lead the project, with representatives from Broadstone Library, Broadstone Chamber of Trade, and others. If you have a particular interest in making Broadstone a Dementia Friendly Community and would like to give your support and expertise, please contact Annette Brooke.
