You could plant up baskets and tubs as long as you have shelter for them. Look out for bright red lily beetles on lily foliage, catch them and remove and squash them if possible or water with Provado vine weevil killer. If you have sweet peas growing in pots, get then into the ground as soon as possible and tie in to supports. Dahlias and cannas can be planted out at the end of the month. With the onset of the warmer weather (hopefully) it’s time to think about top tips for keeping your rabbit fit and healthy: Protect them from flies: flies can be annoying for humans, but for bunnies they can be deadly – flies are attracted to rabbits if they have soiled bottoms and will lay their eggs there. These rapidly hatch out into flesh eating maggots which can be painful and fatal if left untreated.
