Dorset AlertMessage sent by Dan Cammell (Dorset Police, Neighbourhood Engagement Officer, Poole & Purbeck)

On the 16th January 2016 at 0900 – 1500, the Poole North & Poole West Neighbourhood Policing Teams will be hosting a crime prevention event at Tesco Stores, Tower Park, Poole. This event will promote the prevention of cycle crime and road safety. We will be introducing the following at the event:

  • FREE bike/cycle marking at the event – which will register your cycle with a unique reference number on the www.bikeregister.com website (usually £17).
  • An opportunity to meet your local officers and raise any community based issues with them.
VOLVO will be in attendance showcasing their new ‘Life Paint’ product(s) – assisting in reducing casualties on our roads.
  • Cycle safety and cycle crime prevention information.

So get your cycle secure – whether your cycle is a brand new Christmas present or something a little older, we will be more than welcome to assist.
