Superfast Broadband for Business

From 1st April 2015, the Borough of Poole are part of the superfast broadband ‘Connection Voucher Scheme’. The Scheme, which is being administered by the Superfast Dorset project, allows SME businesses (and third sector businesses) to apply for vouchers from £100 to £3,000 to cover the cost of connecting to a better broadband service. With faster and more reliable broadband businesses can access new markets and grow; increase productivity; increase security; allow staff to work more flexibly; and, future proof their business. The vouchers can be used to fund installation costs including infrastructure equipment, construction charges, engineering works and surveys. Businesses pay the VAT of the connection and the cost of on-going monthly subscriptions.

The Borough of Poole have also commissioned the Dorset Growth Hub and C3IA to provide a free Cyber security awareness event to businesses on 24th April.
